Grafic Novel!!!

So, now we are finished with reading all of these crazy war stories in my American Lit class now the next reading is graphic novel. I already know a graphic novel is a story( mostly political) of what's going on around us. Much for a mature audience. but, now I'm wondering is this going to be another book about war? I hope not. I've heard enough. It makes me feel like I did time in the service. I feel as thou graphic novels took away the animation for kids. Those bright colors and sweet saying turned in to violence and sexual acts...I'm in for a ride.
